The publisher, Olika Reporters Online, Deacon Darlington Okpebholo-Ray has said that the gunmen who snatched his car were speaking Fulfulde.

‘’They were speaking Fulfude, which shows that they were Fulani,’’ he said, while speaking with PINNACLE on telephone interview.

Okpebholo-Ray said the car was snatched by the suspected car snatchers while driving along Kubwa express road in Abuja.

Narrating his ordeal to LEADERSHIP yesterday in Abuja, he said that he noticed a Toyota Camry car with a tinted glass was trailing him while he was driving an Acura Car with Registration Number AU207KUJ Engine, black in colour along the expressway, suddenly he felt strange as he did not commit any crime and so he kept driving his car.

Okpebholo-Ray told LEADERSHIP that he saw the suspected car snatchers again from the rear mirror of his car before approaching the Federal Housing Bridge.

He said the suspected car snatchers tried to overtake him and order him to pullover at gunpoint.

He further stated that the hoodlums collected his car key and attempted to force him into their car, but when some passerby shouted, they abandoned him and speed off with his car.

According to him, “When I noticed I was being trailed, I thought the suspected car snatchers were police officers but I was wrong, they barricaded the road opposite Papal’s Ground by Federal Housing Bridge Kubwa, Abuja, they forced me out at gunpoint and carted away with my car.

”They also tried to force me into the back seat of the car, but I resisted them and some passerby who were at the scene thought they were Police officers.

”The robbers shouted, “barawo barawo”, they pushed me away, fired shut in the air and speed off with my car and their golden colour Camry.”

An extract from the “Crime Diary” he made at Divisional Police Headquarters, Dutse Alhaji sighted by our correspondent read: ‘’On getting to Papal’s Ground by Federal Housing Bridge Kubwa, Abuja, three armed men in a moving Toyota Camry Gold in colour, accosted him, flagged him down and snatched his car on gunpoint and carted away with his car.’’
